--The Latouche (La.) Union of Saturday has the following paragrah:

‘ At the night exhibition of Dan Rice's show on last Wednesday, as the rhinoceros was being led into his cage, after performing in the ring, he became somewhat restive, and one of his keepers was seriously hurt by being thrown over a picket fence by the said animal. The wounded man was immediately carried to the boat of the troupe, where the proper aid and attendance was bestowed upon him. He had two of his ribs broken, but some hopes was entertained of his recovery.
