Savings in New York.

--The superintendent of the New York Banking Department reports the amount of deposits in all the savings banks of the State, on the 1st of January, 1861, as $67,440,379: an increase of nearly $10,000,000 over the amount of deposits January 1, 1860. Every thirtieth inhabitant in the State is a depositor, and the average to each in 1860 was $224.28.
