The Superintendent of the Armory is now engaged in getting quarters for a portion of the Public Guard, whose removal was rendered necessary in order to accommodate the heavy machinery with which to work the Armory, and which will soon be placed in the building. It is some what to be regretted that the state of the finances will not justify the erection at once of suitable barracks for officers and men.
