The Hon. John Robertson, Virginia Commissioner to the seceding States, returned to Richmond on Saturday. He yesterday returned to the Legislature a report of his proceedings, embracing the letters passing between himself and the Governors of Southern States. Judge Robertson represents the people of the Confederated States as speaking but one voice in respect to their present and future attitude.--They would as soon have a baboon to reign over them as the "old ape" from the Sucker State.
