Among the ms of intelligence telegraphed from this city, is one to the effect that the Legislature will adjourn the latter part of the ensuing week. Inasmuch as the General Assembly was convened by the Governor, among other things, to ratify or reject the proposed sale of the James River and Kanawha Canal to the French Company, and no visible steps have been taken to do one or the other, we imagine that the news gatherer in this in stance was ahead of time.
