Brush with Mexicans on the Rio Grande.

The Galveston Civilian publishes the following extract of a letter from Laredo, Webb county, Texas, dated 2d inst.:

Captain Donaldson's company, when out scouting between Roma and Claranio, Wednesday, 29th ult., were fired on by a party of Mexicans from the opposite side of the Rio Grande, near Guerrero. The Rangers quickly returned the fire, killing a notorious character and leading man amongst the banditti, named Antonio Aches.

Neither party attempted to cross the river. The Mexicans retreated beyond range of the Texas rifles, and the latter quietly proceeded on their scout.
