Committed.

--The Mayor yesterday committed Mr. E. H. Craige to jail till to-morrow, on the charge of being a suspicious person. Mr. C. is the Richmond agent of a New York firm, (Wheeler & Wilson,) who are alleged to be inimical to the rights of this Commonwealth and the Southern Confederacy. The examination of the grounds of suspicion against the party accused, was not entered into fully yesterday. Mr. C. was arrested in Petersburg by order of the Mayor, by Capt. J. M. B. Steward, and brought back to this city yesterday morning.
