French critics seem to have a finer appreciation of my subtle shades of meaning than English.
I am curious to hear what Professor Park has to say about it. There has been another review in La Presse equally favorable.
All seem to see the truth about American slavery much plainer than people can who are in it. If American ministers and Christians could see through their sophistical spider-webs, with what wonder, pity, and contempt they would regard their own vacillating condition!
