γήρᾳ, without a prep.: so Eur. Hec. 203, etc.: but this is poetical, prose preferring “ἐν γήρᾳ, ἐν τῷ γήρᾳ”, or “ἐπὶ γήρως.” τὸ φρονεῖν, so soon after 1347: cp. on 76, 625 (“ἐκτὸς ἄτας”), 956 (“κερτομίοις”). ἐδίδαξαν, gnomic aor. (709).
