καὶ τί μέτρον...; for this “καί” prefixed to an indignant question, cp. O.C. 263 (n.): Ph. 1247: Ai. 462.κακότατος is better attested than “κακότητος” here. In O.C. 521, too, the MSS. give “κακότατ̓”. Cp. 134 n.

φέρε in the sense of “φέρ᾽ εἰπέ”: so Ar. Ach. 541 ff. “φέῤ, εἰ Λακεδαιμονίων τις κ.τ.λ.” | “καθῆσθ᾽ ἂν ἐν δόμοισιν;

ἐπὶ τοῖς φθ., in their case: for the prep., cp. O.T. 829 n.
