But, if I had really wronged him ever so much, and if all he intends to say against me were true, this at least is certain, that worse wrongs have been condoned by others, and so made no longer actionable. καὶ γὰρ See on § 34. ἀλλ᾽ ὅμως ‘Yet in all these cases the law has appointed one limit and one end of the dispute in the settlement by mutual consent.’
