Its value and beauty are likely to be appreciated as would hardly have been possible before understanding something of the long, and delicate, and complicated processes of its manufacture. Soon it will be taken apart, packed carefully, and shipped to a place perhaps thousands of miles distant. Other telescopes are in process of manufacture, and will in turn be sent to places near and remote. So the unpretentious work-shop supplements the great Observatory, in making Cambridge one of the scientific centres of the world.
