[220] τοῦ πραχθέντος the murder. Not, “what was done at the time by way of search”: for (a) τὸ πραχθέν, as opp. to λόγος, must mean the ἔργον to which the λόγος is related: (b) Oed. has lately expressed his surprise that nothing effective was done (128), and could not, therefore, refer with such emphasis to τὸ πραχθέν in this sense.
