[2] Now Theron, since he had administered his office equitably, not only enjoyed great favour among his countrymen during his life-time, but also upon his death he was accorded the honours which are paid to heroes; but his son, even while his father was still living, was violent and murderous, and after his father's death ruled over his native city without respect for the laws and like a tyrant.
