This commander accordingly made his way through the Siceli, detaching most of the cities from
Dionysius, and went into camp in the territory of the Agyrinaeans1 on the banks of the Chrysas
River near the road that leads to Morgantina. For since he was unable to bring the Agyrinaeans
to enter an alliance with him, he refrained from marching farther, since he had news that the
enemy had set out from Syracuse.
