[3] The third contingent, composed of the Arcadians and containing the largest number, invaded the district called Sciritis,1 which had a large garrison under Ischolas, a man of conspicuous valour and shrewdness. Himself one of the most distinguished soldiers, he accomplished an heroic and memorable deed.
