Ἀχελῷον—frontier between Aetolia and Acarnania. The route:— Through the territory of Stratus, the greatest city in Acarnania, westwards to the territory of Phytia (Phoitia); thence northwards through Eastern Medionia, which brought Eurylochus to the Ambraciau gulf; thence eastwards across the district of Limnaea, avoiding the town (of doubtful name) at the SE. corner of the gulf; and so across the low hills called Thyamus, and through the friendly territory of the Agraei; hence down into the territory of Argos, between that city and Crenae, to Olpae.
