μὴ χρῆσθαι—epexegetic.

ναύσταθμον—the roadstead where the supply-ships lay.

μᾶλλον means rather than the new στρατόπεδον south of the town.

ἀγορά is Kruger's probable alteration for ἀγορᾶς, on the analogy of such phrases as ἀγορὰν παρέχειν, VII. 39 τὴν ἀγορὰν τῶν πωλουμένων . . ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν κομίσαι. The idea of a site seems always present, and ἀγορά is not a synonym of τὰ ὤνια or τὰ πωλούμενα.

τά is probably subject, not adverbial accus., so that we have the pass. of τὸν περὶ Μ. πόλεμον ἐπολέμουν: cf. VIII. 18 τὸν πόλεμον κοινῆ̣ πολεμούντων (imper.). The act. of πολεμῶ does not seem to occur with an adverbial accus.
