[172] Of this verse Aristonikos says “μεμείωκε τὴν ἔμφασιν, καὶ τὰ τοιαῦτα εἴωθεν ἀθετεῖν ὁ Ἀρίο ταρχος”, but there is no obelos appended in It A. appears, therefore, that he was without definite information, and concluded that Ar. must have obelized it in accordance with his usual practice of so treating lines which appeared needlessly to limit a general expression.
