They are: 278 = 4.255; 280 cf. 7.46; 282 cf. 16.39; 286 cf. 1.212; 288 = 4.33; 298 cf. 15.315; 309 cf. 15.458; (313-7 = 121-5); 320 = 23.509; 321 = 5.302; 331-4 = 13.420-3 (see note on 331).

παλίντονα probably alludes to the form of the ‘Scythian’ bow, with a double curve, bent back in the middle to form a handle. Or it may mean simply elastic, springing back when bent.
