ἄλλου: besides the two already given (ch. 140, 141). γαμβρόν: here in its original meaning a relation by marriage, κηδεστής, affinis. Erechtheus, father of Oreithyia, was ancestor as well as king of the Athenians. The legend was that Boreas seized her, as Hades did Persephone, while she strayed in the fields picking flowers, and carried her off to his home in wintry Thrace, where she bore him two sons, Zetes and Calais, the Argonauts.
