ἀντίον: a primitive attempt to express longitude; the expression Ἰσσηδόνες ἄνδρες is poetic; H. is perhaps borrowing from the Ἀριμάσπεα of Aristeas (iv. 13 n.). For Σκυθικόν cf. App. XI; for the Issedones, iv. 26.
