πόποι. Il. XXII 168, 169. The words are uttered by Zeus with reference to Hector. For ἄστυ our Homer has τεῖχος.

αἲ αἲ -- δαμῆναι. Il. XVI 433, 434. The only variant is ὤμοι for αἲ αἴ.
