Ebenezer Francis, of the Revolutionary Army, killed in battle at Hubbardton in 1777. Samuel o. c. Pet. ch. 12 Feb. 1758. He was ensign of Capt. Isaac Hall's company, Col. Thomas Gardner's Regiment, in 1775, and is alluded to in the Pct. records as lieutenant. He resided in the Charlestown portion of the Precinct, was a Pct. committeeman and assessor in 1772, and treasurer in 1782, and was killed by a barrel of tar falling on him from his cart at Winter Hill, in Somerville, 7 Apr. 1791, a. 55 (g. s.).
