τῶν λογίων: perhaps identified by H. with those taken from the Acropolis by Cleomenes, in which it was prophesied πολλα τε καὶ ἀνάρσια ἔσεσθαι αὐτοῖσι ἐξ Ἀθηναίων (v. 90. 2), but surely of more recent invention, since only in 480-479 B. C. did a league of Persia and Athens seem a possible contingency.
