τὸ σὸν ἄχος, grief for thee: cp. 419 n. ἀφανίσαι, do away with, overcome (not, “"conceal"”). τόσον, Arndt's correction of τοσόνδ̓, would give us the normal ᾿α^πίαν in 1685 (n.).
