ἐπ᾽ ἀλλήλ. ἀμφικ.: i.e. each of the daughters had twined her arms about her father, while he had also embraced them. Cp. Od. 8.523ὡς δὲ γυνὴ κλαίῃσι φίλον πόσιν ἀμφιπεσοῦσα.

λύγδην from “λύζω”, singultare. Anthol. Pal. 15. 28. 3λιγέως ὀλοφύρετο μήτηρ, λύγδην, ἱσταμένη”.
