ὑμῖν, addressing his guards (723). Cp. the order given by Oed. to pinion the herdsman (O. T. 1154), and by Creon (in Ant. 578) to lead off the sisters.

ἂν εἴη: here in giving a command with cold sternness. Cp. 725 (in request), O. T. 343 (in fixed resolve).
