ὦ νεανίσκε: the formal address
prepares the mind for an important statement.ἔσται: an apod. having for its prots. ἐὰν . . . συνῇς, ᾗ ἂν . . . συγγένῃ, (ἐὰν τῇ ὑστεραίᾳ συγγένῃ,) (ἐὰν ἑκάστης ἡμέρας συγγένῃ). The subjs. of ἔσται are ἀπιέναι, the same verb implied in ταὐτὰ ταῦτα, and ἐπιδιδόναι.
γεγονότι: contains the leading idea.
