1 wherever two numbers are connected by a hyphen, the first is the number of the parent; and the second, of the child. Therefore, in every family, the grandfather; father, and child have their numbers in the same paragraph. Thus in the Albree family: Joseph m. Judith Reeves. The 1-2 against his name refers to the previous paragraph, where 1 is his father's number, and 2 his own. In the 2-6, 7, 8, &c. These latter are his children's numbers, in the regular suecession of descendants of the first John Albree.
