Prop. 5. 11. 17, “Inmatura licet, tamen huc non noxia veni,” where the contrast is between capital punishment and other untimely deaths. We may also contrast the case of those who were ordered to kill themselves. “Mortem orat; taedet caeli convexa tueri” 4. 451.
