τεταγμένος. The title of these priests was ‘web’ (i.e. pure). The σφραγιστής was appointed for the work of inspecting beasts. The tongue of Apis was marked beneath with a ‘beetle’ (scarabaeus). κατὰ φύσιν: i.e. not ‘double’, as in an Apis.
