St. ist die Konstr. deshalb verwickelter, weil der vorangestellte Relativsatz nicht einfach den Gegenstand, von dem nichts übrig ist, sondern zugleich eine Vergleichung des Verfahrens der Feinde enthält, so dafs ein Satz mit quam sich an schliefsen mufste. quam quae] s. 31.18.3. 40, 1 u. a., = quam ea erant erudelia, quae..; zum Gedanken vgl. 26.30.8: quid ultra, quam quod fecerit.., facere hostiliter..potuisse; 9, 5, 11.
