οὐδενός: explanatory of τινός.

ψυχῆς δὲ στοχαστικῆς κτἑ.: in this characterization, Socrates includes all the good that can be said of the art of rhetoric. It requires cleverness in perceiving and distinguishing between various relations, hardihood to work before the eyes of the world, and skill in dealing with men.

στοχαστικῆς: is originally connected with shooting and throwing, but is often metaphorically used. With this definition, cf. Isoc. c. Soph. In regard to courage in speaking, cf. Cic. de Or. i. 26. 121.
