κομμωτική: is not only finery in dress, but also hair-curling, ointments, cosmetics, etc. Cf. Quint. ii. 15. 25 mangonum artificium, qui colorem fuco et verumrobur inani sagina mentiuntur. The addition of γὲ emphasizes the examples newly thought of.

ἀποκρινοῦμαι . . . πρὶν ἂν ἀποκρίνωμαι: after the model of the anticipatory conditional. πρίν, “before,” takes the inf.; “until,” the indic. subjv. or opt., according to the sphere of time. See Gildersleeve, Am. Jour. Phil. ii. 465 ff.
