LXIV. ὡς οὐχ οἷός τ᾽ εἰμὶ κτἑ.: this objection Callicles had only brought forward as a possibility, not as an actual fact (486 a, b). Socrates treats it as the latter, but even thus it does not misrepresent Callicles' sentiments.
