ἀλλ᾽ ἔτι τοῦτο κτἑ.: refers to 470 c and is just as ironical. In sharp contrast with the false assurance which trusts its own cleverness is Socrates' faith in the immutability of truth, τὸ γὰρ ἀληθὲς οὐδέποτε ἐλέγχεται.
