αὐτὸς αὑτόν: “himself,” i.e. his own mind.
ἐναντία: i.e. logically contrary and contradictory ideas, between which a mean is not to be thought of.
ἀπολαβών: used absolutely equiv. to “separately.” Cf. Rep. iii. 392 e ὥσπερ οὖν οἱ ἀδύνατοι λέγειν, οὐ κατὰ ὅλον, ἀλλ᾽ ἀπολαβὼν μέρος τι πειράσομαί σοι ἐν τούτῳ δηλῶσαι. The gen. τοῦ σώματος depends on περὶ ὅτου (μέρους) βούλει.
