A suppository for preventing protrusion of the rectum.

Rabbi Moussa Ben Maimon wrote on hemorrhoids. He was known over Europe as the “Great sage” Maimonides, and often designated by his initials R. M. B. M., or, briefly, Rambam. He was born at Cordova, A. D. 1135, but emigrated to Egypt, and became physician to Sultan Saladin. See Suppository.
