Tai′lor's shears.

A large style of scissors used in cutting woolen goods.

In the example (Fig. 6172), the upper blade and handle move upon a slotted fulcrum, which gives a draw cut. The edges are kept in contact by a spring. See also shear; Scis-Sors.
