Ice-pre-serv′er.

A cover for an ice-pitcher to economize the ice by keeping the warm air from contact with the outside of the pitcher. It is made of straw, woolen, or cotton felt, and lined within and covered without with flannel. The top is made of wood, to give form to the cylinder, and has a [1170] handle for convenience in raising it.
