Seam-set.


1. (Tin-working.) A punch used by tinmen for closing the seams prepared on a hatchet stake. (See stake.) The face has a groove which shuts down the edges, usually upon a wire.


2. (Shoemaking.) A tool for flattening the seams of boots, shoes, or harness.
