Weld′ed tube.

A gas or water pipe made of a skelp bent to a circular form, raised to a weldingheat in an appropriate furnace, and as it leaves, almost at the point of fusion, it is dragged by the chain of a draw-bench through a pair of bellmouthed jaws. These are opened at the moment of introducing the end of the skelp, which is welded without the agency of a mandrel.

They are made from six inches, internal diameter, and 1/8 to 3/8 inch thick, to 1/4 inch diameter with 1/10 inch bore. See tube.
