Trib′let.

1. (Forging.) A mandrel used in forging tubes, nuts, and rings, and for other purposes. The nut having been cut from the bar, the hole is punched and enlarged by the triblet, which also serves as a handle while the nut is being finished on the anvil. In the case of a ring, the parts having been joined, the ring is fashioned and shaped on the triblet (tribolet, Fr.).
