Switch-board.
An aggregation of switches upon one base, so that any instrument in an office may be connected with any wire or any battery, or cut out altogether.
Fig 6132 represents a switchboard made of wooden strips (non-conducting) and metallic strips (conducting), so joined in the shape of a frame as to bring the longitudinal metallic strips and the lateral metallic strips across each other for the purpose of making connections between them.

Fig. 6133, the switch buttons are arranged in pairs corresponding to the number of batteries employed, including the buttons of each pole of a battery in one pair.
The battery-pole and its button are connected by a wire.
