[528] Τελαμώνιος Αἴας: cf. 1.138, vs. 557, 768. Throughout the battles of the Iliad the two “Αἴαντε” stand near each other and are often mentioned together; cf. v. 406, “Αἴαντ̓, Ἀργείων ἡγήτορε χαλκοχιτώνων Δ 285, Αἴαντε δύω, θεράποντες Ἄρηος Κ 228, Αἴαντες θοῦριν ἐπιειμένοι ἀλκήν Η” 164.
