[572] Ἄδρηστος: king of Argos, grandfather of Diomed (see on v. <*>63). He was driven out of Argos by <*>mphiaraus, and fled to Sicyon, to his mother's father whom he succeeded on the throne. He was the leader of the ‘Seven against Thebes’; and the only one of the seven who returned home alive.

πρῶτα: at first, with reference to his return to Argos.
