[215] ἀφαμαρτοεπής: cf. “καὶ οὐχ ἡμάρτανε μύθων λ 511, Αἶαν ἁμαρτοεπές Ν” 824.

εἰ καί: even if, although he was younger than Odysseus. Reference is made to the age of Odysseus in 23.790, where he is said by Nestor's son to be “προτέρης γενεῆς προτέρων τ̓ ἀνθρώπων.—γένει”: only here for “γενεῇ”, in birth, in age.
