αὐτοί: i.e. without act and thus without responsibility of the receiver. ἑκὼν ἕλοιτο: this forms an independent contrast to the preceding rel. clause. For the thought, cf. “ἀλλ̓ οὔ πως ἅμα πάντα δυνήσεαι αὐτὸς ἑλέσθαι Ν” 729. ἑκών: at pleasure, by his own powers.This text is part of:
