Domestic.) A device to wring [1475] or squeeze the water from a mop. In Fig. 3221, the sliding frame with the twisting device is drawn up near the handle when the mop is to be wrung.

The example (Fig. 3222) has a pair of wringing rollers.

In Fig. 3223, the roller jaws are attached to a pail, are approached by a clasping spring, and opened by pressure on a treadle.

In Fig. 3224, the perforated boards are hinged together, the lower one is fixed, and the upper one has a lever and side-strips. The mop is pressed between them and drains into a bucket.
